This is a pretty decent brush. It does loose hairs both when drying and when applying your shaving cream but only a couple once in awhile from what I have noticed. I would highly recommend getting a brush if you don't have one. Using one allows for easier application and you use far less shaving cream. I don't use a brush stand but I find drying the brush very easy as it is pretty water resistant and drys very quickly.

This brush is currently the only one I own. I have many razors but with minimal care and cleaning there's no reason to get another. With almost no bristle loss and the ability to work with both soaps and creams, this one has become an important part of my daily shaving experience. Thanks TAOS!

I am new to The Art of Shaving. I entered the store on a whim and bought a few products including the Black Badger Fine Brush. It takes a little getting use to, but I really like it. The brush is holding up okay, but it is too early to tell.

I purchased this brush 6 months ago. While the brush was amazing when it was new, it has rapidly declined. In a mere 6 month of use, following all instructions and storing the brush in a stand I purchased at the same time the brush has become more trouble than it is worth. When I use the bursh 30-40 badger hairs are left in my lather for me to pull out or get stuck in my razor as I shave. It has made shaving annoying and as a result I have switched back to drug store brand shaving gel.
