This stand looks nice and sturdy. However, I'm concerned about the corrosion as stated by other comments, but I can replace the screw if need be. I purchased the horn shaving brush from TAOS at the time I purchased this stand. The rim of the brush had to be perfectly placed or it would fall through the stand. I don't know if this is something that was wrong with the stand or if the brush was cut too narrow. I ended up wrapping the tines with a cloth and was able to squeeze them together just enough with my hands to where it fits better. If you are going to spend this much money on this stand, make sure your brush rests in it properly.

While the entire stand is nickle plated, the screw that holds this stand together corrodes extremely easily. While I was not informed about this fact when I bought this $120 stand, It was pointed out to me when I tried to return it because it had broken in half.
So if you want your shaving stand to lase, make sure you dry it off after every use, or better yet, buy something else.

I bought this and have had no problem with the razor or brush fitting, but the stand corrodes after use a short period of time. I would have thought at this price it would be a quality product but it is junk.

I was extremely dissapointed when i opened it. My brush fit but my razor(Gillette Fusion) did not. Even worse than that this website does not specify what razor/handle type fits into the stand. For the money you spend on this stand you would think they would provide a more detailed description so that you could actually use all of the features of this stand for their intended use. Very misleading ad regarding this shaving stand, perhaps they should consider showing ads with the brush and razor attached to the stand.
