Purchased this razor as part of the Chrome manual shaving set. As mentioned in the other reviews, this razor has a light plastic handle with poorly applied foil-like chrome plating. The chrome plating has a tendency to separate from the underlying plastic and flake/peel off. Art of Shaving was very good about replacing the razor when this first happened, but there was similar peeling of the replacement razor handle within 2-3 months. I ended up replacing this with the nickle plated 5 blade razor which is of much superior quality.

I had been given this razor as a birthday gift. It is a very attractive looking razor which has that classic barber shop look but with a modern twist. The weight is well proportioned and the grip feels neat and tidy, even allowing for a fuller stroke on the upward movement as a result of the grain and weight. However after 4 uses the small oval cover on the base of the razor just simply fell off. Exposing the plastic unsightly build of the razor. I know its a simple case of dab of super glue and bobs your uncle all new again but that is not the point. $100 for a plastic razor which is contructed of nothing special and held together with glue is not what you expect, or maybe it is and i am just out of touch.
Will continue my search for a classic razor that takes fusion heads...sigh

I won this razor from my barber and was so excited. Unfortunately, it feels far too light and looks like cheap plastic. I stick with my Fusion ProGlide Power (yeah, the one that Gillette sent me free on my birthday) but am now stuck with this "nice" razor that is quite frankly a disappointment. I would've rather won any other Art of Shaving products (which I love) but this razor is simply not worth it.

If you are looking for a light razor it's perfect. My husband wanted a similar looking razor we saw in the Art of Shaving store and it was a lot heavier. I placed the order around the 28th and received it about a week later which was nice. I knew right away when I received it, it was not the one my husband wanted. I send it back on the 7th and it is now the19th and I STILL have not received the refund. I can't purchase another razor for him until I get the refund so now he may not get one for Christmas. My tip is that you MAKE sure it is the one you want before you order or you will wait a long time for your refund and you will eat the shipping cost to and from the warehouse as well.
