Sandalwood shave soap
I am using this after using the shave cream. I have to say that I do prefer the soap. I have purchased the refill yesterday. The shave feels smoother and it is easier to see the face during the shave. You will not go wrong using this soap. Smells great and works well in tandem with the pre shave oil.

Stop Looking - You Found The Winner
I stopped my quest for the best shaving soap once I found The Art of Shaving Shaving Soap. I especially like the sandalwood scent; it is light and not over-powering. The soap works into a lather that works perfectly and the wooden bowl is beautiful container. Well-done, The Art of Shaving!

Shaving Soap
I purchased the shave cream for a few years, and decided to try the soap. I will not go back to the shave cream. The razor glides better, and the shave is closer. Make sure you use warm water on your brush, and be liberal with the soap. One refill lasts about 9-10 months, and I shave daily. Cost works out to be less, and the classic look of the wood soap dish is a nice touch.

Rich fragrance
Lasts forever and has a delicious smell, like a tiny room filling with incense. A little goes a long way. The foam is nice and light but sticks to the face to allow tracking of shave's progress. It doesn't collapse over time. Highly recommend. Worth the investment. Make sure to rinse the soap and leave it uncapped to dry overnight and then replace the cover.
