this preshave oil "The art of shaving was my first ever purchase when i got into wet shaving, i love higend/luxury products so i started trying other brands such as truefitt & hill ultra comfort, the holy black snake oil, sponificio varesino, phoenix shaving cube 2.0 etc just to name a few and i can confirm any The art of shaving pre shave oil is better than any of this i mentioned. its my go to pre shave oil. my absolute favorit is the unscented one taht actually does have a very disctintive "fresh" scent which it will not cause any kind of irritation at all. as i have mentioned before dont waste time and money this is it, this is the "one".

I guess I am not used to use this type of oil product. I found it easy to use, but not necessarily essential.
This product kit opened me up to a different world of shaving. Previous to trying this kit, I did not use any shaving products other than traditional shaving cream and a razor. The pre shave oil does a great job of softening up your facial hair and preparing it for a clean shave. The brush allows for an even lather and all of the products smell great!
As someone who’s shave routine could be described as “caveman basic plus,” trying out the Art of Shaving Lavender Pre-Shave oil was quite the experience. While perhaps not the most important part of the process, I definitely felt that the oil worked to lubricate both my face, and the blade in conjunction with the shaving cream. A slight and welcome tingle told me that my skin was feeling the benefits, and the preparation definitely felt worthwhile when taking my first strokes. My face felt much more ready than normal, when I’m usually jumping right in and hacking my way through as fast as possible. There is definitely something to be said for slowing down and making sure your skin is prepared.
Just like the shaving cream the aftershave left a lingering smell that would give me terrible headaches. I may be more sensitive to sinus related issues so I do not recommend if you have sensitive sinuses.
This is a good oil. The scent is good and it really works.
I wasn't the biggest fan of this pre-shave out. I felt like I needed to immediately wash my face. It didn't absorb very well although it did help prevent some razor burn.
This is one of the most interesting product I've had in my shaving regimen. All men should use this product in there shaving regimen there face will thank them. It leave your face smooth.
This preshave goes on smooth on my face. I was skeptical on the small bottle size, but it helps to moisturize and has made it easier to shave hairs making my skin feel more smooth.
I don't know what it is, but moving into my late 30s, my skin always seems so angry after a shave. However, this really does the trick for that. It also makes it so that the job gets done with fewer passes, which definitely has to help.
brush and shaving cream are great, expected more from after shave. After shave was not as cooling or soothing. However, does have a decent scent. Pre-shave oil was decent.
The oil was a nice smooth start to the shaving process. Only need to use a small amount. As far as the oil making the hairs softer prior to shaving I didn’t see too big of a difference. But it does enhance the shaving experience.
The Art of Shaving Pre Shave Oil works very well. It's as simple as applying to my face. It leaves my face not to oily but just enough to help my shave go a bit smoother. It also smells of lavender and is very relaxing. I would definitely recommend!
I was very impressed with the overall consistency and quality of this preshave lavender oil. With this shave oil, the shave cream smooths extra liberally over the face protecting me from nicks! A+
Over all, I enjoyed the experience of the 3 step shave. The pre oiling felt like more luxe then a quick shave and I personally never liked shaving cream in a jar but with the brush, it was a much different experience. It applied nicely and felt like an elevated experience. The shave was great, the aftershave moisturize was decent but nothing stood out. I did like the experience but my main call outs were the packaging. Doing this 3 step shave with the brush feels like an elevated experience, the packaging should match. First area to improve is the oil, there should be some type of orifice reducer, too much oil comes out of the opening and I spilled it once. The second area is the jar, can't pin point it but the inner jar and the outer jar kinda move, like they are two pieces, just felt cheap. Over all, the actual product was great, would buy with these improvements I mentioned. Would consider buying the shave cream by itself as is with the brush.

Pros: The pre-shave oil greatly prevents razor burns. I tested this product with both Single blade razor (One Blade) and regular 3-blade razors. Happy with the results._x000D_

this preshaving oil is insanely good. it prepped the skin throughtly and it made it really smooth and soft ready to shave. i totally recommend it. i loved this whole line and the scent is definitely my favorite. it is a lavender fresh scent. devine.
I tried this shave oil a few times and every time I used it, it caused my razor to slip around and I ended up cutting myself.
The Art of Shaving products are very good for the skin. They provide moisture and also help to get the job done. I shave twice a week and have a light stubble. This product has been soothing , moisturizing and gets shaving done

The purpose of the oil is lost on me. When using it as a prep, it just causes the lather to not adhere and soak in.
I was a little hesitant to try this because I already have semi oily skin and didn't want to put more on, but I admit that it did give me a better shave overall. With all the products in the kit used in sequence it was the best shave of my life.
