Our Pre-Shave Oil softens facial hair and reduces tug and pull, all with a lightweight feel that leaves no oily residue. It's formulated with a unique blend of botanical ingredients and essential oils and is suitable for all beard types.

Our soothing Lavender Pre-Shave Oil is made with Lavender essential oil sourced from Europe and the USA that meets the perfume standard for "French Lavender" - a criteria set to ensure consistency and an immediately recognizable lavender aroma. Herbaceous Lavender essential oil is known to promote relaxation and help support calm skin.

How To Use

Applying Pre-Shave Oil is the first step in The Art of Shaving's trademarked 4 Elements of the Perfect Shave™. Before shaving, place a few drops of Pre-Shave Oil onto your fingertips. Massage the oil into the area to be shaved (including the neck) to help soften and lift facial hair. You'll need just enough to provide a light coating over the beard area. Do not rinse off before shaving. Instead, apply Shaving Cream directly on top.

Great product.

I've been buying The Art of Shaving products since the late 1990's, and hope to continue to use the products.
Sadly, a number of great products have been discontinued, e.g. body soap bar, and hair shampoo. However, a handful of great products still remain.

Works and smells great!!!

I am quite happy with any unscented products you manufacturer. There was at one time an unscented shaving soap disc that was discontinued. There was also a lemon scented soap disc that I liked as well.

The other scented options are scented too heavily. Too much! I use another brand shaving soap that is unscented. Sorry.

Decent products but ridiculously overpriced

Since Covid these product prices has went through the roof. $99 for 8 oz of oil? I switched to olive oil, provides the same benefit at fraction of the price. The good news is the bottle works so I can just refill it. I like their shaving cream and will only buy when on sale.

Smooth

Never heard of Art of Shaving. Tried it on a friend’s recommendation. I doubt I will ever use anything else. I have sensitive skin and this doesn’t irritate and the shave is close and smooth.

I bought this product a month ago, it was really worth buying the product.

This is a first for me, but a great new addition. Scentless, but it kinda seems like applying EVOO to my face. My beard is softer as a result and makes shaving easier.
