First Safety Razor

I bought this razor July 2016 and shave 2 or three times a week. I have not had any complaints. It has enough weight that the razor does the work, I just have to be the guide. I purchased this at AOS, but would advise looking for this on Amazon.
Overpriced Lowest quality

Bought this razor in AOS retail store cost almost triple the price of any on-line retailer. Poorest quality metal, immediately disintegrated, then broke. AOS would not stand behind product, had to deal with company in Germany, after three replacement heads, finally threw it away.
Poor craftsmanship

I purchased this razor over a year ago, and I'm not a heavy shaver, I may shave once a week at the most. I was drawn to these razor to get a closer shave without getting any irritation, which I found out is hard to do. Regardless, after just one year of using the R89 Grande Razor made of "zamak" metal, which is zinc, aluminum, magnesium and copper metals which is used in most mass market produced safety razors, but is not a strong alloy. While screwing the razor head back on the thread portion snapped, this would never happen with a stainless steel product. For $75 just for the razor alone, I would expect a much better quality for it not to break on me after one year of use. The razor was never abused or tightened extremely tight, due to it would be difficult to loosen with wet hands while the razor blade is installed. If you're looking for a safety razor that will last, I recommend Rockwell Razors. Also their are other less expensive stainless steel razors out there, just research
