Like most TAOS products, it's not bad -- just overpriced relative to quality. It's pretty similar to the highly regarded Taylors of Old Bond Street lavender -- which is HALF the price. And simply not even in the same league as the similarly priced Castle Forbes version.
This is great smelling shave crème. Try it you will like it.

As a person constantly trying out different shaving products, this is a must! The packaging is great and attractive, the product is very easy to use.
Well, I’m ruined. Having never tried any of the Art of Shaving products before, my shaving routine was limited to Gillette, Barbasol, even the target brand shaving cream. Each provided what I thought was a functional and adequate shaving experience. Now, however, having used the lavender shaving cream from Art of Shaving. 8 see the error in my ways. The thicker, more creamy lather holds my facial hair taught so the blade can get in nice and close without as many passes. Whatever is in the stuff makes my face feel like a baby’s skin afterwards and with no irritation. And frankly, I like the smell. I’m a convert.
Everything looks very nice. The packaging is good and I liked the texture but the scent really bothered my sinuses. It lingered way to long and eventually I would end up with a headache. Maybe just me but I would not recommend.
I have a thick beard and I shave regularly. This product smelled great but also was gentle on my skin.
This product does make your face feel nice after use. The cream and after shave also smell nice. The cons are this is so much more expensive than shaving gel and it takes much longer to apply than gel. It's a good product but I don't feel it's worth the extra time and money relative to shaving gel.

The Art of Shaving Lavender Essential Oil Shaving Cream has a pleasant scent and creates a rich lather. It works well to provide a close and comfortable shave.
Very nice! This shaving cream lathers well and didn't sting or burn like some do. It helped give me a nice clean shave, while smelling great too! I highly recommend!
I really enjoyed the shaving experience. The shaving cream had a great smell to it and applied nicely with the brush. I've tried cream in a job before with out the brush and was not a fan, I think the brush is a must with this type of shave cream. My only complaint was the jar, it felt cheap. It felt like the bottom inner jar and outer were two pieces and they moved a bit when opening and closing. Took away from the elevated experience.
Gave me one of the smoothes an best shaves I've had. I tried it with an without the first step ,an although using the first step made it much better n smoother it was still a great shave.

I am so used to shaving with the cream that comes out of a spray can. This kind of shave cream feels of higher quality when I put it on my face. My face feels slippery yet it also feels like it protects my skin and improves the health of my skin even after I've finished shaving. It has definitely changed my opinion on the cheaper shave creams that come out of a can.
Try it for yourself. Sometimes a routine can be difficult to follow-not this one.
Let me start by saying that this stuff smells absolutely amazing. I find myself just stopping to enjoy the smell straight from the container prior to beginning each shave. I came from the disposable razor "club" and started using a safety razor about 2 months ago due to disappointment with the quality of shave I was getting with the ones I tried. So naturally I had to find also an alternative to the shaving gels and cremes I have been using also. It was a transition from the ground up.
Cream was great as a small amount gives a great lather. Brush applicator definitely helped in creating a soothing foamy lather. Cream was not too thick as to clog razor and was cooling while on.
