How To Use

Lathering up is the 2nd step in The Art of Shaving's trademarked 4 Elements of the Perfect Shave™ (preceded by applying Pre-Shave Oil).

With a brush (recommended): Rinse your face with hot water to stimulate skin, open pores, and soften beard hair for an easier shave. Then, wet your brush thoroughly under hot water before applying a fingerful of shaving cream to the center. Apply to your face in quick, circular movements to exfoliate the skin and produce a rich lather. Shave with the grain on your first pass. If a closer shave is desired, re-lather and shave against the grain. Rinse with cold water and apply our 2in1 After-Shave Balm.

Without a brush: Place shaving cream directly onto wet skin and massage into a lather using your hands.

Nothing special, may be I expected more since I am so used to european brands. It's not bad but i am not impressed.

I really like the Bergamot and Neroli Shaving cream, I like the way it lathers up, the gentle scent of bergamot and the way my facial skin feels when I'm finished. From the application of there scented pre-oil to the aftershave balm, I'm hooked on these wonderful products.

All of the shaving creams give a nice, smooth shave.

I bought the full set of the Bergamot Neroli line. I have never loved shaving so much. The quality is superior and the smell really reminds me of being on the beach. Plus my wife really likes the way I smell too!

Great shaving cream with bergamot scent

I received the Bergamot scented shaving cream as an Xmas gift a few years ago. It is my favorite brand of shaving cream hands-down. You won’t be disappointed. The Bergamot scent is light but enjoyable.

Expected the usual greatness; was disappointed...

usually order the unscented jar of shave cream; it was always creamy and easy to use. This product Bergamot Neroli Shaving Cream came sealed as usual but upon opening it I found it far less that the whipped cream texture Im used too; it was drier, clumpy and hard to spread on my beard. Clearly I will not order this particular product again...

Truefitt and Hill is a near tie. It's a tad cheaper, lathers up very well, and quite slick. They have two Bergamot-based scents: West Indian Limes and 1805. West Indian Limes is a bit too light citrus for my preference. The 1805 is an excellent, "oceanic" scent mixed with bright citrus, "leathery" smell with some spicy qualities...but it's more of a "parfume" shaving cream and tends to clash with the colognes I own._x000D_

AOS thus far is my favorite because it lathers up the best of the three. I need the least amount of shaving cream to work up a lot of lather. It's the most "slick" of the three which feels great on the skin and seems to help let the blade glide over my face and neck a tad better. I am also using the Bergamot & Neroli pre shave oil and aftershave balm. Combining these three together, the citrus scent stays on my skin and gradually dissipates over five to six hours. _x000D_

I don't have a sensitive sense of smell so I enjoy the subtle Bergamot & Neroli scent. It possesses a honeyed, moderately green/tart floral aroma while having a bit of a spicy edge (kind of like a spicy incense). I like this because it complements the Bergamot-based colognes I own (Acqua Di Gio and Polo Deep Blue) and my wife loves the scent as well. I think this particular shaving cream works best in the summer and spring. I tried out the Olibannum and Pepper shaving cream and use that for evenings and cooler weather.

Smells great! Reduced skin irritation from shaving

This is my favorite scent from this line! I tend to use this for most of the year. I switch to the sandalwood scent during the winter. _x000D_

As someone who was exempt from shaving everyday in the military, I was extremely satisfied when I stumbled upon this product. Using the pre-shave oil, shaving cream, and after-shave balm has significantly reduced the razor bumps, and skin irritation I use to get from shaving my head (2-3 times a week). _x000D_

If you get the beard oil I recommend that people with coarse hair mix in a little water while applying it to your beard (even if your beard is damp from showering, etc.). It will leave your beard feeling softer.

The Scent Has Started to Dissipate

I loved this cream when I first got it about 3 months ago. I have noticed that the scent has dissipated substantially, which is really disappointing. It has a great citrus scent that really woke up your senses but now it is not that noticeable. It is still a very nice shave cream which is why I gave it 3 stars - but am disappointed by what is now a very light scent.

Slick, smooth shave cream

Bought this cream simply because it performs and smells amazing. I normally don’t like many of the shaving creams out there because they are heavily scented, but this Bergamot and Neroli shave cream smells incredible, it’s not too strong but just perfect. My wife loves the fragrance of this cream. It has hints of orange and lime, but very subtle. It also creates a monster lather just by dipping your brush into the container. This 5oz container will last too. The slickness and cushion provides me with silky smooth results. Will be buying this one again.

I went into the Jacksonville Art of Shaving store on a whim one day, and picked this 5 oz container of shaving cream up. For me personally I'm more of a minty and/or sandalwood style of smell type of person. However, this Bergamot & Neroli shaving cream is absolutely amazing. My skin tingles, the good way, and feels refreshed after every shave. I urge every person to try this cream. Promise you'll love it!
