Unscented Pre-Shave Oil 2 OZ

I've used your product before and loved it...still love it.

I shave in the shower with hot water.
This pre-shave oil, followed by a can of Barbasol allows my razor (Gillette Mach 3) to last for several months.

I experience no razor burn or skin irritation of any kind.
I don’t use a shaving brush.
The Art of Shaving is a brand I trust because it just works.

Because each Mach 3 cartridge razor last for several months, this pre-shave oil has lowered the cost of shaving drastically.

Though I like the IDEA of this product and what it does to improve your shave, it unfortunately leaves a sticky residue on my razor, shaving bowl, and the bristles of my brush. This residue continues to build up... shave after shave. Due to this, I had to stop using it after just 3 shaves.

This buildup stays on my skin too--leaving my skin feeling heavy and sticky. I'm not sure how to effectively remove this buildup, and I'm mainly worried about the bristles of my expensive brush.

I'm glad I only ordered the tiny trial bottle. As I said, I like the idea here, but the sticky build-up is unacceptable to me.

Like most Art of Shaving products, the quality is good but there price is WAY higher than competitors' products of similar or better products. $28 for 45ml. Castle Forbes, UK makers of some of the finest quality shave products -- who are already considered premium prices -- sells pre-shave gel, also unscented, $60 for 150ml. Prorasso has a pre-shave cream balm. Not as good -- but not bad. 100ml for THIRTEEN dollars. Most AoS is good. Just way overpriced for the level of quality.

I have purchased this several times and it works very well, particularly if you have not shaved for a few days or have a tough beard. It is much easier to wash off than the pre-shave oil. I think it is a bit expensive for how many uses you get out of one bottle, even if used sparingly.

I love this product, but it's been out of stock for a while. It has helped to provide a closer shave and has led to less skin irritation. However, 45ml is too small for my use, which is limited to one pump per shaving, and it needs to come in a scent like sandalwood.

At the suggestion of The Art of Shaving Store, I started using this with my Braun Series 9 (9370). Reduces friction and increases glide. My only concern is that although water soluble, it does not easily rinse off. I end up shaving and then having to shower.

I've been using the pre-shave oil for a few years now, it really helps shaving especially since I use a straight razor. I won't shave without it.

I have to be honest, I was sceptical about the Art of Shaving Pre-Shave Oil. It just didn't seem like a necessary step in shaving, and then I tried it. No nicks. The razor just glides over your face. Great product!

Tip: Make sure both your hands and face are warm when applying, it helps to smooth the oil onto your face.

Never heard of pre-treating your face before you shave but now I know why. This stuff is great. Leaves me feeling moisturized and ready for a clean shave. I would recommend this to anyone.

I was very apprehensive on the need of the Pre-shave oil from the Art of Shaving. After using the product I now see what additional benefits it brings to the shaving experience and end results!

If you have a touch beard and are not using some type of pre-shave oil, you are missing out. Pre-shave oil is a must. The oil lubricates the razor and hair, allowing the razor to almost glide across the skin. I imagine the oil is also absorbed into the hair, making it easier to cut as well.

I have a tough beard and cannot imagine going back to not using it. Depending on how long your beard has grown out, it may gunk up your razor, forcing you to tap it on the sink to clear it out, but other than that this product is great.

Before the art of shaving, I never thought to use pre- shave oil. Heck, no one I know uses it. But after using AOS pre-shave oil I can't imagine shaving without it. I have corse facial hair and this oil softened my hair and even my skin, this oil allowed the blade to glide right over my face with no nicks or cuts. Now that I have been spoiled, I won't go back to not using it. If you shave you need this.

The Art of Shaving Pre-Shave Oil feels amazing. The instant it touches your skin, you know you are in for a treat! Working the product into your facial hair, it begins to feel both supple and finer. This is the type of shaving prep, that could tame even the grizzliest of bears!

It goes on smooth and absorbs easily enough to provide a protection barrier, but NO oily residue!

I have used this product both in and outside of a hot shower, and while I do find it works best in combination with the pore opening steam, I was still able to get a nice shave, without it.

This product is a must for anyone that wants to become a shaving artist!

The pre shave oil is light and really prepares the face for a close shave. Not too greasy, not too oily. A very nice mix of light oil that will shave right off. No residue

I really liked the unscented pre-shave oil because I have a tough beard and tend to suffer from razor burn after shaving due to running the razor across my face again and again just to get a clean shave. This oil totally eliminates this problem! When I used the oil it made my skin nice, smooth and ready for the next step! It also softened up my facial hair a little as well! I would say that the oil has to be my favorite from this kit so far. It nourishes the skin, the only down fall to the oil is that when you apply the shaving cream and begin to shave it does highlight any tiny area of hair you may have missed just due to your face being so smooth but, it really doesn't affect my feelings toward the product necessarily because it just makes me more of a perfectionist when it comes to shaving!

So, I am the typical guy I think when it comes to shaving. Sometime I use shaving cream, sometimes I just wet shave. Whatever I have time to do and get to work on time. After receiving the The Art of Shaving® Unscented Pre-Shave I wanted to try it right way. I felt like I was embarking a cool journey to get to actually shaving and I loved prepping my shave with this oil. Goes on nice and smooth and ready for a nice shave. Bring it stubble. I found this product gets me ready to chop you down!

The unscented pre-shave oil helped lube my face for an incredibly close shave. I had never used a pre-shave oil before, but was quite impressed with the ease-if-use and subtle natural scent. If you have never tried pre-shave oil before, you are missing out.

I totally believe that this pre-shave oil is the only thing that keeps me from getting razor bumps on my face and neck area. I am not a super fancy guy but I have to admit using this did feel a little like a spa experience.

The pre-shave oil is a great product. It allows the razor to glide effortlessly over your face. I also have sensitive skin and I have gotten far less razor burn when using the oil. The Unscented feature is nice as sometimes different added scents can cause unwanted irritation. The oil is a must have product for the ultimate shave.

My line of work requires me to shave almost daily and regular razors and shave oils, etc. can really take their toll on my skin. I apply this oil before I shave to prepare my skin and it really helps the razor to glide more smoothly. The fact that it is unscented really helps too because I don't feel the need to wash it off immediately. Also, I love that it extends the life of my razors. Razors can be very costly, and this oil provides for an extremely smooth shave, with no tugging.

To be honest, I never really feel like shaving my face, but with this oil, it makes it a more pleasurable experience.

When I first received my Art of Shaving full size kit, I was expecting a greasy pre-shave oil. This non-greasy formula prepped my beard for a super smooth shave without leaving any residue behind.

So i wasn't sure how long to leave this on my face before adding the shaving cream because there weren't any specific instructions concerning this so i just waiting aboput 3-5 minutes before applying the shaving cream. It was really really sticky and i'm not quite sure if applying it actually helped with the quality of the overall shave. Personally i feel like i could have done without this step.

This pre-shave oil worked great to soften my scruff and my skin. I was a little hesitant to use it because it is not something that I typically use, but I am so glad I did. I even called my fiance in the room to feel it and she approved. My skin didn't feel heavy or clogged afterwards, like I was afraid of. I'm happy I made the decision to try it!

This oil made it so much better for shaving and had less pull and tug then I normally have. Will become a normal part of my shaving products that I use.

I'm not to keen on putting oily substances on my face or trying to clean it off of my hands, I just hate the feel of it, that was not the case with the Art of Shaving Pre-Shave Oil. It went on cleanly and smoothly and it absolutely softened my beard and my skin for that matter. Cleanup was effortless and to my surprise, no oily residue and made my skin feel softer than any high dollar lotion. can.

Overall, the product was great. I was not expecting the pre-shave oil to be as slick as it was, but it did a great job of smoothing the hair our for less irritation. It also says it's unscented, but has a bit of a sweet smell to it. I would definitely recommend this product.

I had never heard of it before I used it but I thought...let's give it a shot. It didn't take much, I followed the directions and it definitely softened my skin before my shave. It made the entire area very soft and slick. Easy surface to ensure that the razor glides along. Before this product I had never used any type of oil pre shave. I've been missing out.

The shave oil does a great job of preparing and protecting your face as you shave. Even though it is unscented it still smells great but does not leave nay odor behind.
