Product Details

The Pure Travel Shaving Brush is an essential key to achieving The Perfect Shave® on-the-go or anytime you need a compact shaving solution. It generates a rich warm lather by retaining warm water to help soften the beard hair. Using a shaving brush to apply your shaving cream helps lift beard hair for a clean, close shave. A shaving brush also lightly exfoliates skin to help release trapped hairs.

Sheds more than a shaking sheltland sheepdog at a sheep sheering show. I enjoy other Art of Shaving brushes, stands, and the like (though not their blades: I prefera safety razor, and they seem to have sold out to the replacable head companies - or maybe the profit margin is just higher). However, this was worse than a waste of money: it was a waste of my time. The cheap brushes you get in a starter kit at the local pharmacy work much better and last longer. I bought this at a Brick and Mortar Art of Shaving store. Had I only read the other reviews online, I would have listened. Be a smarter shopper than I was.
Give this brush the brush off
July 14, 2015
I received this as a gift. After about four months of very moderate use the bristles started to come out. I would not recommend this brush at all. It is not up to the quality of the rest of The Art Of Shaving brushes. I have another of their brushes for three years now without any problems.
Travel Brush Going Bald

I have and will continue to have many products from the Art of Shaving, but you should avoid this one. The standard badger hair brush I have has been in use for over a year with no significant bristle loss. I have used the travel kit brush for about 6 months and perhaps 4 trips. The bristles are falling out faster than a yellow lab in the spring time. The company gave me a Visa gift card to replace it.
Nice Concept, Terrible Product

I have two of these, I bought one individually when I learned of it because I thought it was a good idea, and the other because it came with the travel kit. Overall, I can say that this brush is by far the worst brush I have ever used. It relentlessly loses bristles and is about as coarse as a wire brush. Ideally, this product would best be served as a mini sweeper for your garage/shop to sweep up small filings from wood or metal work. I have the nickel handled silvertip brush that is of far better quality...albeit at $250, it's much much nicer and I've had it for years with no degredation of quality. Unfortunately it is not as suitable for travel, so my search continues for a better travel product as should yours as well.
